Our tier training system is laid out for anyone from the newest shooter to the most advanced shooter. The new shooter can learn to safely handle and clear a weapon while the most advanced shooters can hone their skills to a keen edge. We have created our tiers in a fashion that allows the student to progress in a logical order, but it is not required to complete each one in progression. Only Tiers 11 and 12 require a prerequisite, although we highly encourage everyone to complete the courses in the order we have presented. While we schedule the courses regularly, feel free to reach out to us to schedule a training course for your convenience.

Students will be taught some basic knowledge of how and why to train and the 4 golden rules of firearms safety. They will then be introduced to some basic information for selecting the proper pistol and why. Students will be taught pistol nomenclature and how to safely handle, clear, and hand off a pistol. The course then continues with details of a proper grip, properly sighting and aiming, and trigger control.
Finally, students will be taught proper maintenance and cleaning of their pistol for continued safe and reliable use. Most of the course is classroom based with several minutes of shooting at the end to put into practice what they have learned in the classroom by participating in several drills.

The downside of not completing them in order is that the student may be behind on some of the shooting and lingo. Students are taught proper holster draw and speed vs tactical reloading as well as proper storage of magazines for quick and efficient reloading.
Strong hand and weak hand only shooting and flashlight use will also be introduced.
A significant amount of time is spent on the range putting into practice and working on muscle memory of drawing from holster and reloading.
Students learn positions of fire, shooting techniques, situational awareness and strong shoulder and weak shoulder shooting with a rifle.
Minimal classroom time is spent to discuss the use of flashlights allowing most of the course to be spent on the range shooting and practicing techniques by incorporating drills.

It is encouraged that students take at least TIer 3 prior to attending, but this is not a requirement. This course is designed to cover the best ways to defend your home. The course starts with some basic concepts of what a threat is in your home and covers what situational awareness is and why it’s important. The course then progresses into firearm storage for safety and quick access and ways to prepare your home in advance as a deterrent to criminals.
Safe exits are then covered to get you and your family out of the home and avoid confrontation if at all possible. If a safe exit is not possible, ways to barricade yourself in your room and how to safely clear your home as a last resort are covered.
The last two subjects covered are when and how to properly use a flashlight and what to do after an invasion.
After spending time in the classroom, students are taken to the range and placed in a scenario similar to what they would experience at home for an invasion. They will be required to obtain their weapon from a draw and engage a threat and learn how much time it truly takes to do so. Room entry skills and other drill are then put into practice.
This is the course that essentially started what OVR stands for. People are carrying pistols now, probably more than ever. But just because they carry a pistol doesn’t mean they can safely draw and fire that pistol.

Most of this course is spent on the range practicing the skills and working on muscle memory and the best way for YOU to carry a concealed pistol. Students get to practice and make a knowledgeable decision on their preferred carry technique, and not just based on someone's recommendation or an article in a magazine. On the range, students begin with some basic drills and then finish with advanced drills drawing from a concealed holster

Designed very similar to tier 9 for the pistol, but uses the rifle and introduces transitioning from rifle to pistol safely and efficiently.

This is not an advanced Special Ops or SWAT course but is a great introduction to a home owner but could be beneficial for someone who thinks they may want to apply to SWAT or Special Ops.
This is designed for the average citizen to be able to attend and understand and to present tenets and not doctrine for CQB.
We spend some time in the classroom covering room anatomy, slicing the pie, high/low coverage, team formations, team entry, and non-verbal communications.
On the range students participate in team figure 8 movement, team movement forward and backward, team weaver drills, high/low shooting, team barricade shooting and finally a CQB drill.
This is the course that hits home the most for OVR founders. We call it Emergency Disaster Care (EDC), but you can call it first-aid, tactical combat care, or any other term you wish.
The focus is on providing initial medical care during a disaster. This could be a several car pile up on the highway or a mass shooting.

Students learn the basic equipment they should have on hand and how to assess the scene and the ability to provide care to a casualty.
Students then learn basic splinting, ways to control bleeding, and then how to improvise these things should they not be available. The final lessons will be focused on transporting patients that are injured and creating a casualty collection point. After learning all these in the classroom, students will apply their skills by splinting and providing care in various scenarios.
