Take multiple shots at 3 targets while moving using a rifle or pistol
The El Presidente drill is not a drill that can be performed at just any range. In this drill, you begin with your back to the target. You must turn to face the threat, draw from holster, engage multiple targets with multiple shots, and reload. You're incorporating nearly every skill.
You'll notice this is a repeat of a previous drill, but we used a pistol last time This time we are using the rifle. With the longer barrel, it makes it more difficult to manipulate and reload.
This is a drill to introduce you to moving and shooting. Move between 4 cones, firing at each position and lowering your weapon to move between them.
This is a very custom drill to OVR. It is a live video training scenario in which you arrive home to a door that is cracked open. You enter to find an intruder. The remainder of the drill is based on your reactions of drawing a weapon, firing, running away, or yelling and the intruder runs away or attacks.
This is a great drill to start moving while shooting. You will draw from holster, but can go from low ready. At presentation, begin walking toward the targets double tapping each of 3 targets. Be sure to maintain a stable base and control your movements and shooting.
The main objective is to get 15 rounds in 15 seconds. There are a few kickers. For starters, there are 3 separate targets at 5, 10, and 15 yards require transitioning. Additionally, you must transition from rifle, to pistol, then reload your pistol.

This weeks drill will focus on transitioning from rifle to pistol, holster draw, and pistol reload. Along with those skills, the target sizes are different as you move from top to bottom of the target. This forces the shooter to take more time to aim on the smaller targets but then be able to make up time by speeding up to hit the larger target.
From a low ready, engage the target with 10 shots from 10 yards in under 10 seconds. And you must do this with your strong hand only.
From concealed holster, draw and fire using only your strong haand
Throttle control variation is a great drill. It can be adjusted to accommodate any level of shooter and any weapons system. The drill is performed in a series of 3. The first series is to hit the large target for 5 shots and immediately transition to the upper left smaller target. Series 2 starts with another 5 rounds to the large target followed by 3 to the smaller upper middle target. The third and final series is essentially the same, 5 shots to the large target and 3 to the smaller upper right target. You can speed up on the larger target, but will need to slow down to properly engage the smaller targets. You can perform this with your rifle from low ready and work through all three series with a single magazine. If using your pistol, you will need to incorporate a reload. You can incorporate this when you slide lock empty or you can make it a part of the drill to reload after each series; before engaging the larger target. You can mix it up and use both rifle and pistol; doing series 1 with rifle, transition to pistol for the second series, speed reload and finish with your pistol for the third series.
Throttle control vertical - intermediate - green; Although this drill is classified as intermediate, you can make it advanced by adding in holster draw, weapon transition, or reloads. Begin by engaging the larger target x3 shots, the next larger x3 shots, then finish with 3 shots to the smallest circle.
