Multiple shots with reloading
One of the most advanced drills - reloads-multiple targets-multiple shots-multiple aim points
The ground clock is a very specialized drill that can only be performed at special ranges. But it is no less important to be able to shoot from the ground.
This drill incorporates a number of skills. You will be shooting around barriers, moving while shooting, and reloading. Accuracy is important, but so is stead movement and confirming targets are down.
This is an advancement from last weeks drill. The movement and targets are the same. The advancement is that you will start with your rifle. As you move to the second cone, reload your rifle. Transition to your pistol while moving to the third cone and then reload your pistol on your movement to the fourth and last cone.
This is an advanced drill involving moving, shooting, transition, weapon manipulation, and reloads. It is a repeat of a previous drill with only rifle or pistol. OVR can customize the drill with extra reloads, custom targets, or any other way the clients wish.
This is one of our first 2 man drills. This is a great drill to help you focus on multiple factors. First starters, you have to perform 2 reloads. Secondarily, your teammate is doing the same drill next to you and could cause a distraction. Additionally, if you of you is faster, you must maintain your AOR or assist your teammate. Come in to OVR and practice this drill.
This drill is very similar to the previous drill of 2 man FVTAC Reload. The biggest differences are the target and rounds shot. The target is a specialized target that must include head and pelvis. You will also be firing 5 rounds on each target; 3 to the chest, 1 to the head, and one to the pelvis.
You will draw from concealed holster, fire 2 shots, reload, and fire 2 more shots. This is an advanced drill that anyone who carries MUST do.
This weeks shooting drill is an advanced one involving one shooter moving around a second shooter. This drill is designed to work on lowering your weapon, foot movement, quick target acquisition, and individual discipline to trust your partner.
We move to one of the most advanced drills this week; sol CQB. This is a last resort maneuver. OVR can set up for open or closed door entry and move targets around the room.
Learn how to work around the VTAC wall using a rifle or pistol. Shooting around or through the barrier and the best techniques to do so.
CQB in any respect is dangerous and should only be tried after hours of practice. We consider this a black level advanced drill. At OVR, we custom tailor courses to suit your needs. Maybe you and your spouse will need to clear your home. Or possible you and a teenage child or your neighbor. Either way, you want to have the basic skills down before ever attempting live. Let OVR fine tune those skills for you.
This is a drill taken from the movie it is named after. Although it is taken from a Hollywood scene, it does translate to real life. In the drill, you are in an alley facing 2 threats. The 1st threat is within arms reach and the 2nd is off to the right a few steps away. When the closest threat reaches for a weapon, you swipe with your non-dominant arm and engage that threat from the hip with 2 shots; using arm arm to gain distance and slow him down. Immediately turn to face and engage the 2nd threat with 2 to the body and 1 to the head.
